DINNER TIME USA article by: James Thomas Fridas
Monday evening I went to none other than Applebee's in Antioch California for dinner, great dinner must admit! I had the Chicken Romano and a side of pilaf with mushrooms and spinach, topped off with a beverage.
The service was spectacular, our waitress was Doreen and she is fantastic so I recommend her highly. The atmosphere was conducive to a fantastic dinner meal and of course the ambiance was very nice, they still have their sport memorabilia on the walls.
The time I spent there was pleasant, the conversation was constant and the food as I stated above was excellent, so do I recommend Applebee's in Antioch? With out hesitation go if you are looking for a quality restaurant with a quality atmosphere and pleasant surrounding.
The management is first rate I have met two off the three assistant managers and I can concur that they are superb, they generally come to my table and start a conversation and that is always a sign of professionalism.
I have had the opportunity to dine at this restaurant on weekends and I must admit it does get very busy, so if you have the chance to go in the evening during the week you may be surprised at the fact they are busy yet able to get you in faster than on weekends.
As for Doreen she kept the drinks flowing and I am not referring to alcohol, I never drink and drive as I only have a drink if someone else is driving and they are the designated driver.
On a scale of one to five I can honestly state that this night they deserve a FIVE plus! I am your humble correspondent stating the facts as I see them, thank you for being my reader and I hope you enjoy my other articles on my travel sites as well.

ONE MORE TIME! article by: James Thomas Fridas
April 23,2013
At this time I am in the middle of a critical overload on all the articles I write, I write for a dozen different newsletters and blogs such as this. But so you will know and understand I like it, so I am not complaining, but there does not seem to be enough time in the day to complete all my tasks!
With that my brother and I went to a favorite Sunday morning haunt for breakfast which I may not be able to get back to because I have about a thousand restaurants to visit and write about as well as travel about a million miles or more and see places I have never seen before and so on and so forth, you get the picture right? Great!
OK so Sunday we went to Dads Cafe in the Safeway shopping center on the corner of Deer Valley Road and Hillcrest and as I said the food of course was very well prepared the atmosphere is always copacetic as well as comfortable, relaxing is a good thing on Sunday morning! So my brother had an omelet with fruit salad on the side as he is in weight watchers so no taters! I had the Cheese Omelet and hash browns! Great breakfast endorsed by the two of us and especially yours truly!
The service is second to none and the entire place is top notch with summer coming on there is a patio for the person who enjoys the outdoor experience and its shaded for comfort so check it out next time you are in Antioch!
On a scale of one to ten I believe that an 8+ is an excellent rating, can't , he is very good and very personable, so check it out!! We understand that Dad's Cafe is now a member of Village Access a fantastic organization!!!
